I love that it’s BPA free and spill proof. I’ve been searching for a new water bottle, and this just might be the one.

I LOVE CamelBak! I’ve been a fan of theirs for ages, and am forever indebted to the FlashFlo for making marathon training possible for me while I was nursing. As I type this, I am sipping from my .75L Better Bottle. My son (who is 2.5) took about 10 seconds to figure out the straw, and now begs to drink from mine whenever he sees it. I guess I really need a spare just for him!

__________________________________________________________________________

I’ve been a fan of Camelbak since I was in the military and used a Sabre hydration pack on flying missions and physical fitness workouts when stationed in the desert overseas.  While in Chiropractic College, I was an avid runner, and I got a lot of use out of my runner’s hydration pack (Flashflo).  Since I’m a mom, my hydration needs are different.  I don’t want to carry a pack on my back or on my waist since toting Calvin around (sling or no sling) is enough.  But, I still need my H2O, and Camelbak answers the call for clear, pretty, plastic, BPA-Free bottles for moms and kids with an exclamation point in the Better Bottle.

These jewel-toned bottles come in 0.5L (perfect for kiddos), 0.75L (perfect to carry in your hand), and 1L (great for a LONG hike or road trip), either with the classic cap or the bite valve.  The bite valve doesn’t spill when turned upside-down and shaken.  It’s a feature unique to Camelbak products that I find positively brilliant.  You don’t have to tilt your head back to take a sip . . . perfect for staying hydrated in the middle of the night for nursing mommies!  This 0.75L Better Bottle by Camelbak is my ALL-TIME FAVORITE drinking bottle . . . at 3 AM, I don’t even have to sit up in bed to get a drink, and I don’t have to worry about spilling water all over me when I’m half groggy anyway.

Camelbak Better Bottle Features

  • Made of Eastman Tritan™ copolyester, the bottle is completely BPA-free and is dishwasher safe
  • Tritan™ copolyester provides excellent impact resistance and is suitable for both warm and cold beverages
  • Bypass the potential hazards of drinking from wide openings—CamelBak’s Big Bite valve eliminates awkward drips and spills
  • Just bite and sip and the beverage flows through the valve—you don’t even need to tip the bottle to drink
  • But if lifting and tipping is your preferred method, no problem; just remove the straw inside
  • Big Bite valve has an articulating stem, so when not in use it folds down next to the bottle and stays clean
  • Carry the integrated handle in the crook of a finger, or connect it to a pack or waistbelt with a small carabiner
  • Simply unscrew the cap to uncover bottle’s wide-mouth opening for easy filling and cleaning; standard cap size fits many other wide-mouth bottles
  • Specially shaped bottle fits nicely in your hand and accommodates most automobile cup holders
  • All components are dishwasher safe (top rack only); do not microwave
  • CamelBak does not recommend the use of carbonated beverages with the straw configuration; remove straw and drink by tipping and sipping

Once Calvin can figure out how to use the bite valve, I think this is going to make a GREAT sippy cup in the 0.5L size.  For now, he finds my .75L bottle his most favorite chew toy.  My husband is eager to try the 1L bottle while he works in tree canopies as an arborist.  I like that it’s slim enough to fit in the bottle pockets of most diaper bags and stroller cup holders.  Best of all (besides the smart design) is that it’s BPA-FREE and dishwasher safe.  Camelbak products have ALWAYS been BPA-Free.  FYI, these nifty bottles are designed for ages 5 and older since the bite valve is removable for cleaning (grip with all your might, twist, and pull)–it may be a choking hazard.  Links to retailers are available on Camelbak’s site.  I’ve seen these bottles priced anywhere from $10 to $13 online, and they’re worth every smart penny.  There are several color options available: black, grey, green, pine, pink, red, ocean, orange, light blue, purple, and brown.

Wow!  Thanks, Camelbak.  You anticipated the desires of the consumers and you provided a fabulous product.

  1. Well with having an active family with 4 kids this would be a great addition to our supply! My only question is how easy is it to clean the straws? Can you get extras?

  2. I LOVE CamelBak! I’ve been a fan of theirs for ages, and am forever indebted to the FlashFlo for making marathon training possible for me while I was nursing. 5. I need a new bike bottle and the Podium looks great.

  6. Oh, man, i have been freaking out about the hype on BPA. Like everything else, I’m sure it’s been a problem for awile, but having kids throws it right in my face. I started turning over all the sippy cups and bottlles in the house and ,sure enough, they all contain it (according to the number of plastic) Replacing them with safe alternatives is not cheap, but what’s a mom to do? Winning one of these would be sweet! Thanks for the chance.

  7. I love all the different colors that the bottle comes in – if I win I think I’d like the Berry colored one.

  8. I need a new bottle–so tired of excess plastic bottles

  9. I like that it’s spill proof! We have other bottles and if you don’t get the lid on very tight they make a mess of everything.

  10. I’d love to try the Better Bottle. My son spends his entire summer at the skatepark. Temperatures reach over 100 degrees here and I’m always concerned about his hydration. This would be great for him. Love that it’s so durable.

  18. How cute is the berry color? Love it!

  19. I have been just buying bottled water and reusing the bottles over and over then tossing them. I would love a more permanent bottle and I love that it’s leak proof. Plus that it’s BPA free is what I love.

  20. I like the green one!

  21. it has been so hard locating good water bottles that are BPA free. I have been wanting one of these for awhile. I have been drinking out of a Sigg bottle but they get pretty sweaty with cold water and don’t have the bite valve.

    i would love a 1L Better Bottle.

  22. The flip bit n sip feature sounds awesome. No tipping of bottle? Would love to try!

  23. I really like the no-spill, no-leak bottle. I am really messy with water bottles, and this would be great to have! I love that they are BPA free!! Great sounding product!

  25. I really like all of the fun colors the bottles come in! I could definitely use one of them while I’m out and about… thanks!

  26. I like the orange better bottle with the classic cap. Nice bottles to prevent all those plastic bottles in the landfills.

  27. I would love to get a better bottle, especially since it’s bpa free…but, my concern would be that there’s no way to cover the mouth piece and keep it clean….

  28. I really really want a CamelBack Better bottle! They look cool and functional–unlike many other BPA-free options. I love the fun color options too! Thanks for the chance to win one!

  29. I like having a water bottle with me – it makes me drink more (simple, right?). This would be so great…
    Happy 4th!

  30. I’ve been wanting to try one – and something SPILL PROOF would be great for this prego… and how pretty is the berry color?

  31. Wow, I love that it is a straw so you don’t have to turn it upside down. Would be great to keep in the car.

  35. nw_Wife(at)hotmaol(dot)com

I would love to try one of these because my old plastic bottles are the bad kind. I would love to try the better bottle in red!

  36. I like the spill proof feature, which is the part I don’t like on my sigg, I actually hate the sigg’s caps, this looks ike a good alternative.

  37. I love the Outlaw-Winter hydration pack. My husband would really dig that. I would love to have one of the bottles for my twin babies.

  38. I’ve been wanting one of these bottles, heard good things about them! Love the pink, pretty!

  39. I like the better bottle. I like that it is spill proof. The pink is cute!

  40. With 3 kids we can definitely use one of these! I love the fact that they are spill proof, this really counts when there’s a toddler around! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  41. I really like the Pine color and I love that it is spillproof!

  42. Wow! There are so many BPA free options — I remember being wary of the Polycarbonate bottles when my first son (4) was born and there just wasn’t very much information out there. It’s so refreshing to see people taking the concerns seriously! And the bottles are good looking, too.

  43. So glad that Camelbak comes in this smaller size for shorter trips and that bite valve is truly genius! Now, if I had only thought of that first. :) And yay for another BPA-free bottle!!

  44. I have some of their bottles from 5 years ago and still love them. They make such fabulous stuff.

  45. Hello, Our family would utilize the “Performance Bottle” the most! We have two sons that are play many different sports. Their water bottles get thrown into their sports bag and have to be durable. I also like the idea that you squeeze this bottle for water, but it still has the neat valve. Of course, being free of the chemicals is a great feature. I also like the no-spill and no-leak
advantage. This sounds like the perfect bottle for any athletic activity. Please sign me up for your delightful drawing. Many thanks, Cindi

  46. I love the one featured in berry. I really want to ditch all of our plastic water bottles and replace them with safer options. These would definitely fit the bill.

  47. I love the Performance Bottle. It would be perfect for my workouts. I am always knocking my bottle over and spilling. It looks safe and very high quality. Count me in!

    Thanks,
    Robyn

  48. My family and I are huge Camelbak fans. My husband and I each have a hydration pack for biking. We’d love to give these bottles a try.

  49. It’s so nice that these are BPA free without being heavy aluminum. I want a bright blue one!! :) Thanks, Dolly.

  50. It’s so hard to find a lightweight BPA-free water bottle! This one looks great!

  51. I’ve already gotten rid of the bpa bottles, but hard to find replacements. I like the blue one best.

  52. I have always heard of Camelbak, but do not yet have one of their bottles. :( I would love to try the Better Bottle!!

  53. I love these in the berry color! The pine is cool, too, I haven’t seen that color much before.

  54. The camelback backpacks are really awesome looking! My kids go to day camp and I always worry they are not getting enough to drink and something like this is easy to carry and I would know they had fresh water available to them all the time.

  55. I love that it is dishwasher safe, it will save water being washed with other stuff and save buying a bottle of water

  56. My kids each have one of these bottles. They are in love with the bite valve, and I love that I have no water mess to clean up in the morning when they use these as their “bedtime drink” bottles. Now I just want one of my own to take when walking and to sit on my desk to encourage me to drink more water. I would love the bottle in green. My kids have the blue bottles, but I need something different :)

  57. I think the best thing about this bottle is the design makes it easy for small kids to use. We love water here in AZ! It would be wonderful to win this!!

  58. This bottle looks great. I would love to have a blue one. Thanks for the giveaway!

  59. I bought one fo these for my daughter because she doesn’t really drink enough water through the day. It worked great until her two upper front baby teeth fell out. She still uses it, but she bites on the valve from her back side teeth and looks so funny. I would love to win another one of these for my son.

  60. I like the preformance bottle best. I like that it doesn’t spill or leak!

  61. I have been wanting to switch our family over to BPA-free water bottles and these sound wonderful. I like that they can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher, since that is one of the things I look for in a water bottle. The variety of colours means that each person in our family can have their own.

  62. I like the new bike bottle, very helpful.

  63. I like the green classic cap — I use a bottle at work and would love one that I can dishwash without worrying as much about BPA and plastic breakdown! Thanks!

  64. I would love to try one of these. I have been on the hunt for safe water bottles. I have some Sigg’s, but am definitely interesting in trying something with a better top on it!!!!!

  65. I have been so afraid of regular water bottles since learning about BPA and all it can do to you, so my favorite about Camelback is that they give us a healthy alternative to waterbottles. And I love the fact that they’re spill proof. Thanks for the giveaway. :)

  66. I would love one of these.

I like them all but my favorite color is 7 Lin Pink.

I can take it to the gym and when I go on fitness walks.

The best feature for me is that the Camelbak Better Bottle is the bottle is completely BPA-free.

A plus for me also is that they are suitable for both warm and cold beverages.

The Camelbak site is high tech but user friendly.

  67. I love that they are bpa free. I use a stainless steel bottle but would love to have a lighter option for times I don’t want the added weight of the stainless steel.

I’d love the better bottle in a light blue or the ocean color. I’m thinking the biter valve might be hard to get used to but would love to give it a shot.

  68. i love camelbak. i used to hang one of their hydration bladders over the bed so that i could drink water without having to get up while pregnant. it was awesome. i’m glad they have a new bpa-free option!

  69. My husband has a Mule and I have a regular, basic Camelbak. My kids each have their children’s version and we always take them on hikes when we go Geocaching. I’d love to try the new water bottle.

  70. I like the fact that the reservoirs are guaranteed for life. I’d like to try the biter valve thing, too!

  71. i like these bottles the camelbak. if i win i can stop buying waterbottles.

  72. A BPA free bottle in cute colors like Camelbak is offering, what a great product!

I’d love to win one for my husband.

    Thanks for a great contest!

  73. I’d love to get one of these. My kids each have water with them at all times but what about the mommy?!

  74. These are great! I’d like to try the Camelbak Better Bottle

  75. I just started running again after the birth of my second daughter, so I’d love this. I think my two year-old could handle the bite valve, so she’d like it too.

  76. I’ve used the Camelbak hydration packs for day hikes, but have never tried their bike bottles before–I can’t wait to get my hands on the Podium. I’m loving the idea of a BPA-free bottle to lug around work. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  77. I’d love to get a podium bottle for my husband and me – a BPA free bottle for our bikes! We carry Siggs around durning the day and have eliminated most of our plastics, but we still carry plastics on our bikes. I’m putting the podium bottles on my shopping list! Thanks so much!

    myshadow28(at)aol(dot)com

  78. I love that the better bottle won’t spill! With two kids, something is always getting knocked over. My son would be much more willing to drink water if it was coming out of the better bottle. Being BPA free is a huge plus!

  79. I love that it’s BPA free and spill proof. I’ve been searching for a new water bottle, and this just might be the one.

  80. I like the look of the Skeeter Camelbak system, it looks ideal for when we take the kids on long bike rides in the park.

  81. We do alot of outdoor activities being the a/c kind of broke a few days ago..!! Would love to have something for my little guy to keep him hydrated.

  82. I like that it is BPA-free, but the colors and styles are great, too. I think they’d fit in the car cup holders, too. I have a special needs son, who will drink lots of water, but he wants it in a water bottle. I’ve been looking for alternatives and this may be it! I like all colors, but the lime green and blue are my favorites. I’d choose the classic cap if given a choice.

  83. The not spilling part sounds wonderful. And the BPA few in addition…what more can you ask fo.

  84. I have never used one and would like to try it – I cam intrigued by ‘Just bite and sip and the beverage flows through the valve—you don’t even need to tip the bottle to drink .’ I’m sure I would keep tipping it anyway!

  85. I just bought a camelbak and love it but with a classic lid and would love to try the straw so my kids can use it without spilling. thanks.

  86. I knew camel back had some great hydration options but I had no idea they had such a large selection. I am a runner and still ahven’t found a comfortable hydration pack – I would love to try the stamina II – theanks for the great link – no I can go buy one. And I love the idea of the safe bottles for our family outings!!!

  87. I love the better bottle. I’m always looking for a “safe” water bottle.
    I also like spout.
    thanks!

  88. This is the first I’ve heard about Camelbak! I love that the bottle is BPA free. We current use the BornFree training cup for our son because it’s BPA free. However, he doesn’t like it and would prefer to drink out of a water bottle. This bottle would is a great solution.

  89. I am not a fan of the bite valve, but my kids like them. We are in the market for new spill-proof bottles. Sign us up!

  90. I would like to try the bottle with the bite valve-I’ve never used one of those before. I like the fact that you can take it apart and run it through the dishwasher so it doesn’t get snarky.

  91. I love the no tipping necessary when using the bottle and the no spilling down my chin and chest while driving or while in bed is sweet! I appreciate how quickly Camelbak responded to the BPA hazard and is BPA-free. Peace of mind!

  92. well, i have been on the bpa free bandwagon for a long time, so I am thrilled that there are new some great options. I would love to try this bottle and the Camelback valve system!

  93. HOLY MOLY!! Those are SUPER cool!!! And they’re BPA Free! I’m a runner and my husband is a biker. We are totally going to check these out!

  94. My husband would love this! He works on a golf course and have the camelback would perfect for when he is out in the hot sun mowing all day!

  95. this is perfect. i want it. please.

  96. I would love to get the 1L bottle for my husband to take to his hockey games!

  97. Holy moley, why have I never heard of this product before now? I’m at the point of waking up a few times per night, and I am definitely guilty of keeping a water bottle by my bed. Unfortunately, I always manage to slosh it on my neck, and even though I recycle the bottles I would rather have a more environmentally-friendly reusable one. Very neat, thanks for offering this giveaway!

  98. I love that the bite valve can protect against leaks but is still easy enough for my 2.5 year old to use (he can use a Camelbak valve). Other sippy cups are either too leaky or too hard to drink from!!

  99. I did NOT know that Camelbak products have ALWAYS been BPA-Free. This is news to me! Oh well, even if I had known that, until recently I wouldn’t have known what was BPA and why it’s bad.

But now that I do, I’m on lookout for safer, BPA minus products for me and my family, especially my little one. Not to mention, with summer here the need to carry water whenever we go out is a must. This will be tremendously useful!

    Thanks for this wonderful giveaway!

    ~A Bookworm’s Diary

  100. I love the better bottle and my 11 month old uses it in lieu of a sippy. I wish they offered a smaller bottle with the bite valve.
