Laughing Boy

Calvin laughed today for the first time. He also mimics vowel sounds and repeats them back to us as if he’s trying to converse with us. “Oh” and “ah”. How cool is that?As far as communicating, we’re better able to discern his crying needs with each passing day. The first couple of weeks, just putting him on an eating/sleeping schedule helped us determine his needs just by default. Now, I can tell by schedule AND by his crying sounds when he’s hungry, when he needs his diaper changed, when he needs to be burped, and when he’s tired and needs to take a nap. Sometimes we’re thrown for a loop, but the majority of the time, we get it right and he stops crying. I’m sure Calvin is so proud of us. . . he’s training us well.
