Steve made some serious progress on the giant dead tree in the backyard.
We tried some outrageously good barbeque in Belmont, and we possibly found another viable office space for the practice. I’m hopeful, but not holding my breath.
For more blog reading fun, I’m now a blogger at Deep South Moms, and I’m currently thinking up some creative and relevant post ideas.
My son’s FIRST birthday is approaching at the end of this month, and I’m having a tough time planning it since I don’t exactly know how many people are attending (and we’re cooking everything from scratch, except for the brats and s’mores). Also, it’s the same day as a Virginia home football game, and we can’t schedule the time until we know when kick-off will be (to avoid traffic congestion for our out-of-town guests–which is pretty much everyone except the 7 folks who live at this house).
For now, we’re planning homemade chili, homemade apple cider, veggies and dip, and we’ll roast brats & s’mores on the fire pit. Basically, it’s a get together with food and fellowship while the weather is still nice, although it’s probably going to rain that day.
Calvin was “due” this time last year . . . and he hung out an extra 2 weeks. Has it been a year already? Wow! Some of it went by really fast–just looking at photos of him from birth until now just amazes me. Other weeks were exceptionally slow (post-partum healing, mastitis, teething, sleepless nights). I love him more each day, and it’s especially awesome when he hugs me tightly around my neck. I ADORE that!
