Weekend Update: Indiana Cousins

As a sort of last minute decision, Calvin and I traveled with my mom to Indianapolis to visit my sister’s family.  We hadn’t seen each other since my 21-month-old son was 3 weeks old.  Since then, her son J has had 2 birthdays, and she’s had another baby…a cute, chubby girl with legs that you just want to nibble.

What I loved most about this trip was that Calvin had such a blast playing with his cousins.  He’d give them hugs and kisses often.

Bathtime funWhen we were all crammed in the minivan for adventures around Indianapolis, I’d see Calvin and Jonah holding hands (or pestering each other) in the back.

Best BuddiesThey’d play follow the leader, bust out with hysterical belly laughs, and have sympathetic desires for food.

We had 2 1/2 days of wonderful fun sandwiched between 11 hours of car travel before and after.

We came back last night.  Calvin was greeted with the biggest Daddy-hug that’s ever existed since the beginning of time.  Then he slept through a diaper change since he was completely tuckered out.

We’re glad to be back, but Calvin’s having cousin withdrawl.  We’ll get to visit with them again at Thanksgiving.

I’ll post more about our trip very soon.
