Bubble and Bee Organic: Skin Pampering Giveaway

bag-logo1Once in awhile, I come across a product that makes me so excited that I want to tell the world about it.  In this particular case, my husband got just as excited about shampoo as I did.

Please allow me the pleasure of introducing you to Bubble & Bee Organic, my latest go-to place for delightful spa, skin, and hair care products.

For Christmas, I received bubble & bee organic lemon shampoo and orange shower gel.  The shampoo is amazing.  A dime-sized drop is enough to suds and clean my past-shoulder length and very thick shower-gel-orangehair.  The zesty lemon essential oil is a refreshing, clean scent.  The olive and coconut oils rebuild and strengthen my hair and prevent my scalp from being dry.  It’s  a totally different experience than the synthetic shampoos I’m used to using.

The thing that makes our new shampoos different is that they contain no synthetic detergents.  Our great-grandmothers used simple soaps like these before the advent of synthetic shampoos.  They had hair that was clean, shiny and healthy–without all the chemicals!

An 8 oz. bottle of organic, non-water based shampoo retails for $14.99.  You’re not paying for water as an ingredient, and a small amount takes care of your hair.  It’s an exercise in restraint in getting used to this amazing shampoo.

Similarly, the citrus-blasting shower gel doesn’t require very much to get you clean.  It doesn’t strip your skin like other soaps, but leaves you feeling clean and moisturized.  Bubble & bee organic also has shower gels in many other yummy flavors.  The shower gel retails for $11.25.  A little goes a long way!

At Bubble & Bee Organic, you’ll find handmade bars of soap (black licorice is one I’d like to try!), sea salt scrubs, coconut oil-based deodorants that leave you smelling fresh and keep your sweat-free, and amazing lip balms.

root-beer-lip-balm Bubble & Bee Organic sent me their organic root beer-scented lip balm.  It smells like a freshly opened bottle of frothy root beer poured over a scoop of vanilla ice cream.  The organic vegetable-based oils and cocoa butter leave your lips quenched and happy.  Warning: this lip balm will make you crave a root beer float!

I was such a fan of this lip balm, I wanted to try their other flavors.  I recently received the 100% organic Peppermint Cocoa Lip Balm and Karma Apple Lip balm.  YUMMY!  All of the Bubble & Bee Organic lip balms are available for $3.99.

Another eye-opening product is Bubble & Bee’s lotion stick.  I know, it sounds strange.  We’re used to lotions being liquidy, not solid like a lip balm or deodorant stick.  But, that’s exactly the way this lotion is created.

…it contains no water. No water means we don’t have to use synthetic preservatives, it doesn’t evaporate and wash off as easily as a lotion in a bottle, and you use less product so it lotion-stick-lime-sml-framelasts longer!

This beeswax, cocoa butter, and olive oil combination is nothing short of miraculous on dry skin.  Even though I wear gloves, my hands are at the mercy of a relentless and bitter winter in central Virginia.  I do not leave home without my coconut and lime lotion stick.  It makes me think of Jimmy Buffet’s “Margaritaville” and key lime pie.  Sunny thoughts on wintry days make me smile.  This lotion stick smells divine and will make you want to sip your own pina colada.  The rad lotion stick comes in several scents and retails for $7.95.

Bubble and Bee Organic has so many amazing products, and I can’t wait to order more from their fantastic line.  They offer a variety of items on discount packages so you can try several products for great prices.

*UPDATE*

Congratulations to the winner Jenn Burns who said,

wow, this sounds awesome! i JUST last week caved to ‘conventional’ shampoo & conditioner after a 2 year haitus. and was soooo grateful for the soft, non-buildup luxuriousnesses….arg. i’m officially intrigued. ;) & ‘chai’ nice! i love me some chai tea.

only complaint would be wow, the website is busy & made me feel overwhelmed & didn’t really want to click further. but i’m picky that way. i blame my husband. ;)
